Healthy Texas is a statewide health insurance product designed for small employers and their eligible employees. It was developed by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and offered through participating insurance companies. It costs less than other health insurance because the State of Texas shares in the cost of paying for health care services. With Healthy Texas, the whole monthly health insurance premium can be an average of 30 percent less than other, comparable health plans. You will also see an average 30 percent decrease in your monthly costs.
